Recap of CE Week

June 24, 2019
By Rob Scott, CT Lab

At CE Week 2019, homebuilding professionals had the opportunity to – for the first time ever at the show – see and experience how technology is impacting design in the kitchen and bath. At the Connected Design Home experience on the show floor, attendees were treated to a unique collection of products that were presented in a true-to-life in-home environment. And beyond just showcasing different products, the Connected Design Home was a testament to the way so many companies were willing and able to come together and create this kind of experience, despite their rivalries or competing business interests.

The more than 800-sq.-ft. space featured vignettes that resembled an office, kitchen, bathroom, master bedroom and living room, each of which was completely decked out with products and design elements from nearly 20 different “exhibitors.”

The laundry list of products in the home included a bathroom display lead by Kohler, an SKS Signature suite from LG, HearthCabinet fireplace systems throughout the experience, a fully-integrated Control4 system and more.
